LEADER/PHABRIX: RASTERIZER
The RASTERIZERS are used in broadcast and video production; converting incoming SDI and IP video/audio signals into display formats providing comprehensive signal monitoring for quality control and signal analysis on external monitors
Typical Features include;
- Signal Support: SD-SDI, HD-SDI, 3G-SDI, 12G-SDI, and various IP formats (SMPTE ST 2110, ST 2022-6/7)
- Hybrid Monitoring: “True hybrid operation” allows for the simultaneous display and comparison of both SDI and IP sources side-by-side
- Measurement and Analysis Tools: Waveform monitor, Vectorscope, Audio Level meter, CIE colour charts, and status displays for error detection (eg CRC errors, frozen frames, black frames)
- Customizable Layouts: Users can create flexible, user-defined layouts, displaying up to 16 different instruments simultaneously on an external screen for efficient monitoring of multiple parameters or channels
Additionally, the remote controller LV7290 can be used to remotely control up to 8 units of waveform monitors or rasterizers via Ethernet by connecting to the ETHERNET terminal.
- Broadcast Production & Master Control Rooms (MCR): Real-time monitoring of performance parameters, compliance testing, and fault diagnosis of video and audio signals
- Post-Production: Colour used features like 3D LUT (Colour Lookup Table) support, HDR (High Dynamic Range) measurement and Wide Colour Gamut analysis to ensure consistent and accurate colour reproduction
- On-Set Production (DIT): Camera shading, focus assist (using nonlinear super-resolution technology), and quality control
- System Engineering: Analyze the physical layer of signals (eye pattern and jitter displays), measure SDI cable length attenuation, monitor IP packet status, and manage PTP synchronization in hybrid IP environments
- Research & Development: The precision and range of measurement tools make them suitable for product development and rigorous testing environments
