NOVOCONTROL: TEMPERATURE CONTROL SYSTEM (TCS)

GENERAL
Temperature control extends the performance of dielectric- and impedance spectroscopy. Many key aspects of material properties such as molecular relaxations, conductivity, phase separation, phase transitions, activation energy, glass temperature, rate of blending, purity, ageing, curing and many others can be determined.

TEMPERATURE CONTROL SYSTEM
NOVOCONTROL temperature systems are microprocessor controlled, designed for fully automatic operation enabling computer-controlled experiments over several days as required for low frequency measurements.

All systems are operated either from the front panel or by software via GPIB interface.

The following temperature control systems can be combined with any BDS sample cells except PHECOS and Novotherm-HT:

  • Novotherm: Ambient to 400 °C
  • Novocool: -100 °C to 250 °C
  • Quatro Cryosystem: -160 °C to 400 °C

Following temperature control systems cannot be combined with BDS sample cells:

  • PHECOS: Peltier Heat/Cool System offers optional sample setup for a specific application (eg dielectric and conductivity spectroscopy, measurements on interdigitated electrodes). Temperature from -50 °C to 200 °C.
  • Novotherm-HT: Require a special high temperature sample cell. Temperature from ambient to 1600 °C.
